Cadetships and scholarships

There are a variety of scholarship and cadetship opportunities available to Aboriginal people wanting to pursue a career in health.

Medical cadetships

Cadetships for Indigenous medical students in NSW for rural postgraduate placement are offered annually by the NSW Rural Doctors Network.

They provide multi-year funding for Indigenous medical students at NSW universities who are interested in rural practice and committed to undertaking two out of their first three years of postgraduate training at NSW Rural Base Hospitals (Albury, Wagga Wagga, Dubbo, Orange and Tamworth).
