Cadetships
The Ministry of Health and Local Health Districts / Specialist Health Networks work in partnership to offer allied health cadetship positions for Aboriginal people who are studying undergraduate, post graduate or honors in one of the 23 relevant professions full time at a university within NSW.
The cadetship involves Aboriginal students studying full-time while undertaking paid employment in a NSW Public Health facility.

Aboriginal Rural Allied Health University Student Scholarship
A NSW Health Rural and Regional Health Career Scholarships Program started in 2023 which includes to support for First Nations people from non metropolitan areas to access training. Funding has been secured for the program over four years during which time it is expected that up to 24 Aboriginal allied health scholarships will be provided.
Aboriginal Rural Allied Health University Student Scholarship applications open early at the beginning of each year and offers $10,000 (pro-rata for part time students) to Australian First Nations people studying a course within the field of Allied Health to assist with training costs. Priority is given to psychology, audiology or speech pathology areas of study.
