Aboriginal Nursing and Midwifery scholarships and cadetships are a pathway to employment in the health sector. They increase the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nurses and midwives and provide financial and vocational support from undergraduate to postgraduate studies.

Cadetships

For Aboriginal people wanting to study nursing or midwifery at university or for those currently studying in these areas at university, you may like to consider applying for the NSW Aboriginal Nursing and Midwifery Cadetship Program.

The cadetship offers a 40 week study allowance of $600 per fortnight, 55 days of paid employment in your local hospital and mentorship support.
